(A-031) This empty syringe is only used for extruding Art Clay Slow Dry or Slow Dry Low Fire snakes. Steps for use: 1. Submerge syringe in water and pull up plunger, filling it with water. 2. Press down the plunger to remove the majority of the water. There should be some residual moisture that will help in the extruding process. 3.Remove the Art Clay from the package and quickly knead it into a rough snake-shape with your fingertips. 4.Remove the plunger from the syringe and insert the clay. 5.Re-insert the plunger and slowly press down to compress the clay towards the tip. 6.Insert a toothpick or piece of pure silver wire into the tip of the syringe while pressing down on the plunger to eliminate the air pocket that can occur. You should hear a little pop when you hit the pocket. Do not use paperclips or aluminum for this step! 7.You should now be ready to extrude a snake.
Important Tips for Success: It will take a lot of force to extrude the clay. You may wish to turn the syringe upside down and press the plunger into a tabletop to get better results.
