  • Biography:
My first job in the mid 1950's was demonstrating copper enameling for AllCraft Jewelry Supply Co. I then majored in Fine Art in college with an emphasis on jewelry and ceramics. I've studied and taught the subjects I love ever since. I worked in engineering for over thirty years, and taught community college for another 15. During that time I continued to study and create jewelry on a part-time basis. Now, I am happily retired and have the time to pursue my love of creating and teaching jewelry, once again. I have had the added joy of seeing my work published several times in Belle Armoire Magazine and Art Doll Quarterly.
    Philosophy:
I believe in teaching my students everything I know. I encourage them to copy, play and use the knowledge as a jumping off point for their own creativity. I love to watch my students soar. I rejoice in watching them go way and beyond the knowledge that I have given them. I take pleasure in watching people of all ages and abilities, blossom and create more than they ever dreamed of creating. I believe in using enthusiasm, humor to guide students. If you give the students the tools and knowledge that they need to learn, then become a facilitator/guide, you will see them experiment without fear of reproach and watch their joy in their success. I also encourage students to submit their work to magazines and to enter contests, as every one needs a little glory.
