    Biography:
I was born in New York, lived in Texas and Colorado, and for years now, in Florida. I’m married to a very understanding and supportive husband, have four married daughters and five grandchildren. My husband and I share our home with our beloved Yorkie. I studied metalsmithing at Miami–Dade College, Miami, FL, and graduated from The First Institute of Gemology and Jewelry, Coral Gables, FL in 1994. I have taken, and continue to take, workshops all over the country. I believe we never stop learning. I discovered metal clay in 2001, but did not become serious with this wonderful art medium till 2002, when I purchased my first kiln. A health condition, Fibromyalgia, sometimes slows me down, but my love for metal clay keeps me going. I’m a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, Society of Florida Goldsmiths, South Florida Jewelry Arts Guild, PMC Guild and Art Clay Society.
    Philosophy:
I have always found joy in artistic endeavors, but working with metal clay has opened a whole new world for me. I believe the process of creating is as fulfilling and rewarding as reaching the end result. I have seen that this is true, not only for myself, but for my students as well. To be able to take a lump of clay and find satisfaction and joy in making something so special that it brings pleasure to others, is so gratifying and uplifting.
