  • Biography:
I am responsible for making products for and managing Internet art company. (Nov. 02-present) I create unique sculptures, jewelry, and chess sets for sale on our Internet site. I create and utilize molds to mass produce products. I help promote website and product lines to potential customers. I am responsible for buying supplies, packaging products to be shipped, and time management. I use various computer design tools and other media to create project blueprints and prototypes.

I am currently creating a line of gaming aides and scenery for use in tabletop gaming, as well as a series of chess sets. I have also started a line of body casting sculptures embodying the human form in stylized media.
    Philosophy:
As an artist, I see potential and beauty in the world around me. I am inspired by what I see and continue the process of creation in my mind, further shaping and making the vision my own. My goal is to try and emulate, if not actually capture, a little of that beauty and at the same time try and give a small bit of what I see back to the world.

While I can draw well enough to get my ideas across, it is sculpting in three dimensions that allows me to make my imagination become reality. I enjoy melding different items and materials into a single piece, experimenting with form and structure. In working with my visions, I have utilized leather, glass, metal, gems, plastics, plasters, and clays, among other things, to make them real.

But creating is not enough. Being able to fan the spark of creativity in others is in itself an act of creation, and perhaps the most important one, as it allows art to be seen by another pair of eyes and interpreted through another mind. To this end, I enjoy teaching others what I am doing and help them realize their potential.

The name of my company is Algedonic Arts. Algedonic is a term that means "pleasure out of pain." It is this idea that encapsulates art for me. The process of creation is often painful, but from that pain, beauty and pleasure are born.
