Biography:
Tes has been a fiber artist most of her life, although it’s only been in recent years that quilting has become known as an art form. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, she began working with stained glass, which in turn lead her to fused glass. It was at the Las Vegas Glass and Bead Expo that she discovered Art Clay World. Since then, Tes has gone on to become the co–publisher of the Metal Clay Today online magazine. She has also written tutorials for several publications including Glass Pattern Quarterly and Fired Arts and Crafts. Tes hopes to continue to learn, teach, and grow as an artist. |
Philosophy:
"Guided Play with Art Clay" is the philosophy Tes brings into the classroom. There is a magic that comes from the discovery that anyone can "master" the art of creating beautiful things with this medium. Even publishing the magazine is about giving recognition, encouragement and a voice to other gifted artists and enthusiasts.
