What do you love about Art Clay?
You can mold it, sculpt it, syringe it – texture it, paint it scrunch it up and re-roll it and start over if you do not like your design the first time! You can torch fire it, and even reconstitute it back to usable clay . I love to teach people how to create with Art Clay because it is such an easy medium to work with. I also love the Art Clay Copper and Bronze products.
What are your favorite Art Clay projects/creations?
Projects that involve working with the Syringe are my most favorite. However, there are so many ways to work with Art Clay that it is hard to have just one favorite - Image Transfers, Ring Making, Sculpting, Texturing and Enameling on Silver and Copper pieces
What other media do you work and/or teach in?
I also work and teach in Polymer Clay –It provides you with instant color. I also do Metalsmithing and Bead Knitting and love Mixed Media projects which allow me to incorporate Art Clay Silver.

Biography:
I am a Senior Certified Art Clay Instructor and teach in my home studio in Thornton, (West Chester) Pennsylvania. I also hold classes at the local bead store “Beadscope” in Chadds Ford Pennsylvania. I have been working and creating in all aspects of Jewlery making since I was young.

I attended the Baum School of Art in Allentown, Pa. learning metalworking on copper and sterling silver – jewelry casting including working with wax molds. Taking a piece of metal from scratch really taught me to have a design in mind before I start all of my Art Clay projects. I also attended classes in Brooklyn New York under the well known artist Valentin Yoktov in Chasing and Repousse . I am an active member of the Greater Philadelphia Metal Clay Guild, a member of Philadelphia Polymer Artist Guild and the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.

I have been blessed to work with some of the most creative artist’s from all over the country in mediums of Metal Clay, Metalworking and Polymer Clay. There are to many to mention. The one thing I always took away from these wonderful and talented artist’s is don’t be afraid to try something new and don’t be afraid to stretch yourself to the limit. Most importantly always be willing to share and mentor to young upcoming artists.
