What do you love about Art Clay? Art Clay is so versatile that you are only limited by your imagination. |
What are your favorite Art Clay projects/creations? This is a hard question because I really enjoy creating. |
What other media do you work and/or teach in? I teach enameling, bead crochet, wirework and design and construction. |
Biography: I have been an artist all my life. My influences have come from the field of textiles and fine art. Throughout the years, I gravitated towards my love of stones and metal. I discovered metal clay while working at a local bead shop and knew this was it! I have continued to hone my skills and enjoy inventing and discovering things I only imagined possible. It’s the engineering factor that I really like… it gets those little grey cells working. |
Philosophy: If I can help guide another person towards their artistic goal, I know I have given them a tool to last a lifetime. I encourage all my students to do a little better, raise the bar, while striving towards the perfect piece. |
Awards / Degrees: Juried member of the Dunstable Artisans and the League of NH Craftsmen. (There are only three people in the League of NH Craftsmen that are juried in metal clay.) I have numerous published articles in Art Jewelry and Bead & Button Magazines. |
