Biography: Classically trained as a goldsmith at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, in San Francisco. Lorrene Davis and her husband owned and operated a Jewelry Arts Gallery in a suburb of Sacramento, California for eleven years. She has been actively teaching art workshops over the last 9 years and has been recently been honored as a Master Instructor with Art Clay Silver. Her class schedule for 2006 includes Art Clay Silver Introductory, Intermediate, Level One, Senior Certifications and Crossover workshops. Her monthly schedule has a minimum of two workshops per month: one in Sacramento and the other in her Placerville Home Studio. Since 1996 this award winning artist has been honing her craft with metal clay and polymer clay and has had several articles published on her art in the last year. She is currently working on her first book and several more jewelry arts magazine articles. |
Philosophy: Always live and treat others as you would expect of them. No more – no less. I firmly believe that the size of a woman’s jewelry is directly proportional to the amount she has of her blush of youth. |
Awards: KVIE Public Televisions annual art auctions… Juried by nationally recognized artists. The normal submissions are around 500 and they only accept 250 artworks. Second Place: 1996 – honorable mention: 1998, 1999, 2004. County Fair 2005: Second & Third place. |
