(TU-01) This 3-pound capacity tumbler has a 15-sided interior that turns over the shot in the 1.5 quart chamber. This unit has a heavy duty motor with a 3 foot power cord. (Shot not included!)

Instructions for Polishing Fired Art Clay Silver:
Please note, only 2 pounds of stainless steel shot should be used in conjunction with water inside the tumbler. Fill the tumbler 3-quarters of the way with water. You may place as many pieces in the tumbler as you want as long as they are all able to move freely inside the chamber. The following agents can be used inside the tumbler to assist in cleaning and polishing pieces: 1 drop of liquid dish soap, 1 tablespoon of jewelry cleaner, or 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Do not use more than one type of agent at any time.

Special Tips:
  • Only use stainless steel shot for tumbling purposes.

  • Mixed-shape stainless steel shot provides the best results.

  • Tumbling pieces with patina will remove the patina and will dirty the stainless steel shot. Keep your shot clean by running the tumbler with only the stainless steel shot, water, and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Allow the tumbler to run for at least one hour.

  • Pearls and other soft materials are not recommended for use in the tumbler, as they may be damaged

  • Bottled or distilled water may provide better results than tap water due to the different impurities often found in tap water.

  • Make sure the outer portion of the barrel, the rubber gasket, and the inner groove for the cover are completely dry before tumbling. A wet barrel may slip on the rollers and a wet ring may cause leakage.
