Pam East's DeNamel™ is a sure-fire way to remove enamel from metal. Traditional methods of de-enameling required dangerous, caustic chemicals, or hours of drilling and grinding that left the metal a chewed up mess. Non-toxic DeNamel™ is safe, quick and easy to use! DeNamel™ is non-toxic.
HOW TO USE - Mix DeNamel™ with water to cake frosting consistency. Apply to enamel. Fire at 1450°F (790°C) for 2 minutes in preheated kiln. Using tweezers, quench hot piece in a bucket of water. It will make a loud popping noise. If enamel is very thick the process may need to be repeated.
ALWAYS wear eye protection when removing enamels. Stray bits of enamel may fly off and pose a hazard.
