Prior to metal clay, my artistic interests centered on photography and stained and warm glass, and traditional metal worked jewelry. Art has served as a release for me, very different from my 9 to 5 profession, allowing my imagination to flourish and my soul to be fed. Now that I’m “retired” from the corporate world, I’m able to devote myself more fully to my art.
Artist Philosophy:
Since becoming involved with metal clay, I’ve also developed a strong interest in traditional beading and polymer clay. I present metal clay, polymer and glass classes and workshops from my studio/gallery and through area Adult Ed Programs. I enjoy seeing the “ah-ha” moment in my students’ faces when they finally see the fruits of their labors in a finished piece, or at the successful completion of a class.
