Biography: 

Sophia’s intriguing collections of Artistically Designed, Handmade, One-of-a-kind Jewellery pieces are a must to see. Sophia Tink is the owner of Sophia Tink Jewellery Art Studio in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands in Ontario Canada where she offers Pure Silver, Sterling Silver, Gold, Copper, Russian Filigree, Keum Boo and Mokume Gane Jewellery designs. Since 1982, Sophia has been a professional artist and instructor of one–of–a–kind offerings using traditional metalsmithing and non-traditional technique. She has been recognized for her art work throughout the world and loves what she does.

Awards: 
Since 1982, Sophia has been a professional artist and instructor of one–of–a–kind offerings. She is formally trained with the Sogetsu Ikebana School in the Japanese Art of Floral Design. She has achieved specialized certifications in the jewellery industry such as 2012 Mokume Gane Certification Japan, 2012 Pulp Clay Sculpting CI, 2011 Russian Filigree, and a Senior Art Clay Instructor. She is also a graduate from the Jewellery Arts program at The Haliburton School of the Arts Sir Sandford Fleming College located in Haliburton Ontario, Canada.
Her work is featured in “The Artists of Algonquin 2011” a book that captures works of contemporary artists and the “The Artists of Haliburton Highlands 2014”. Sophia has been recognized for her artwork throughout the world in galleries and exhibitions. Some of which include the 2013 Silver Accessories Exhibition Gallery Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, 2012 Pearl Jewellery Design Exhibit Ehime Prefecture Japan, 2011-2012 North American Design Competition, 2011 Silver Accessories Magazine Japan, 2010 Art Clay World USA Artist of the Month, 2009 Art Clay Silver TV Documentaries, 2008 Art Clay Chex Television Segment, 2008 North American Design Competition, 2008 Silver Accessories Magazine Japan, and 2007 MCWC Exhibition USA.
Along with her gallery work, her art pieces have been sold to customers in Germany, England, Scotland, Japan, North America, Argentina, Netherlands, and Switzerland. Currently Sophia is a faculty member of the Haliburton School of the Arts- Sir Sandford Fleming College. She is a member of the Haliburton County Studio Tour, Haliburton Art Council, Haliburton Artisans Tour de Forest 2008-2012, Stanford Who’s Who, and Made in Haliburton.
