Biography:

Creating is as necessary for me as the air I breathe. a hairstylist by nature, cutting , coloring and styling since the age of 12, I knew early on that would be my path. I realised that dream through and have owned my own salon for more than a decade. However, I was always searching for more, trying every form of art from sewing to painting to pottery then finally jewelry. I began bead working, stringing and some silversmithing but it still wasn't what I was searching for.
Enter metal clay, I fell in love the minute it was in my hands. The creative possibilities are ENDLESS! I soon became Level 1 certified with Art Clay World and in June of 2012 opened a studio and gallery to share my love of art clay and teach others what I have been so fortunate to learn.

Artist Statement:

I have always felt I was an artist in some form or other. Working with my hands and creating is a viatl part of my soul.
Starting out in Art School, I found was too structured for me, I needed freedom. I found a career in hairstyling to give me just that. A creative way to earn a living and give me opportunities to explore and grow other creative mediums. I began making jewelry in 2005 and soon after found metal clay and fell in love!
I have the freedom to create endlessly with this material. I am constantly learning new techniques and exploring the possibilities. It has also given me a passion to pass on that knowledge to others.
In addition to my hair salon, I now own part ina studio and gallery where I am teaching Art Clay silver. I will continue to grow as an artist and teacher and share my passion for Art Clay as long as I possibly can!
