(Item # CP-236) Thai Rose by Katie Baum LRTP

Low-relief (shallow) textures and patterns are perfect for use with metal clays and rolling mills. Each 5.5 x 4.25 inch sheet features a positive and inverse of each design, with each design being approximately 2.5 wide by 3.875 inches tall. These clean, crisp texture plates are made of heavy-duty paper card stock, and are able to be used dozens of times on metal clay with proper care. Originally designed for rolling mills to impress patterns on metal, these laser cut patterns impart shallow designs to clay in one simple step, without wasting any material with unnecessary depth. Stamp size is approximately 5.5" x 4.25." Metal Clay Users MUST condition the pattern before use; Nature's Touch or other conditioning balms are recommended. Do not use liquids, sprays, or oils.

Katie Baum began her full-time creative journey in 2007, after teaching middle school science for a number of years. Her love of nature and travel inspire much of her art, be it in metal, pottery, or paint. Katie's fascination with cultures and how they interact with the Earth fuels her continued exploration of designs, and her background in education equips her to share her experiences with others as a means of empowering their own artistic discovery and development. Katie has been published in numerous industry publications and featured on multiple jewelry-making television programs; she has taught with dozens of conferences, studios, and events domestically and internationally; she was promoted to Art Clay Master Instructor in 2010. Not one to turn down a challenge, Katie is currently Vice President of Art Clay World USA, Inc., the Education Director for the Greater Chicago Artisan Center, and maintains her own teaching and manufacturing company, Katie Baum Designs.
