Our GeMotion are either 3mm or 4mm faceted cubic zirconia pre-set in a unique .925 Sterling Silver bezel system that allows for movement. The settings can be installed within a “track” so that they slide freely, or can be placed so that they function as a hinge or rivet. Each GeMotion has two pieces, which snap together; the top piece contains the gemstone, and the flat bottom piece allows for gem movement while being comfortably worn. Each of our packages contains 5 complete GeMotion.

GeMotion work wonderfully with metal clays, polymer clays, leather, and with various traditional metalsmithing methods. Apply GeMotion after the piece is fired/finished by pressing the pieces together firmly until it clicks audibly into place. It is suggested that a small amount of transparent jewelry glue be used inside the bezel if the finding is intended to be used as a rivet or hinge, to increase structural integrity.

Tips for 4mm GeMotion:
Sliding in a channel: trim a 5mm-wide track, so that it is approximately 4.25-4.5mm wide after firing.
Using as a hinge or rivet: drill a 5mm hole into dry metal clay; the hole needs to be 4.5mm diameter for proper function.
Total possible finished thickness for movement: 1.8mm
