Sculpting unrefined glass, metals and other materials into unique objects of beauty is a transformative experience. The powerful heat required to fuse these elements arouses my creative spirit and focuses my artistry. The results are colorful and decorative designs that exemplify my own distinctive sense of passion and refinement. My work blends dissimilar elements and materials into detailed, flowing and harmonious articles and jewelry meant to be worn, admired and cherished. My current personal focus includes fused glass set in silver clay, mixed metal clay, and enameling on copper and silver, though my range of interests and thirst for new techniques has also driven me to incorporate Argentium, sterling and wood into my repertoire
I am a Master Instructor for Art Clay World and teach Metal Clay in several locations in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as at many annual festivals held throughout the country including Glass Craft and Bead Expo in Las Vegas, NV and Bead & Button in Milwaukee, WI. My step-by-step, project articles appear frequently in Jewelry Artist/Lapidary Journal magazine (see list below). I am as dedicated to teaching as I am to my craft. Throughout my many years of teaching, I have found great joy in guiding others as they open new doors to creative expression. |
