Cynthia Quesenberry earned her BS in Art Education in 1991 from Old Dominion University, Norfolk and a MS from Troy State University, Troy Alabama. She has continued the study of Ceramics, Glass, Printmaking and Metalsmithing at Tidewater Community College, Old Dominion University, Penland School of Crafts, and John C. Campbell Folk School. She worked for several years as an elementary Art Teacher for the City of Portsmouth Public Schools. Currently she teaches Ceramics, Mixed Media, Metalcraft and Glass at the Renaissance School of the Arts, classes for children and adults at the Suffolk Art Gallery, Suffolk Art League, and serves as an Outreach Art Teacher for the Rawls Museum Arts in Courtland. She holds two instructor certifications for Precious Metal Clay and teaches silver jewelry classes in the local area. She has been the featured artist in the Virginian Pilot, Suffolk Living Magazine, and the Coastal Carolina Crafters Guild. A selection of her work is on display at the Jesters Gift Shop at the Suffolk Cultural Arts Center, and at the Rawls Museum Arts in Courtland. She currently lives and works in Suffolk, VA. |
