(Item # KBD-202) White Taklon Silverwhite® brushes are perfect for metal clay. Unlike natural bristle brushes, taklon holds up well to the metal in the clay. With proper care they will retain their shape and function for years. The taklon bristles have just the right amount of springiness to manipulate the clay and syringe work. The “Bright” brush has a square shaped tip that comes to a knife edge. This is Pam East’s favorite metal clay brush. Use it for smoothing wet clay, manipulating syringe, and doing invisible repairs. Size 4 is Pam’s favorite, but when working in smaller spaces Sizes 2 and 1 are also very useful.
Tips for caring for your Silverwhite® brushes: Do not leave brushes tip down in water; this spreads the bristles out and ruins the brush shape. When you are finished working with a brush for the day, clean it and shape the wet bristles back into their correct form. Store either flat or handle-side-down.
