After many years as a part-time artist, I opened my own arts studio in Portland Oregon. I create original designs in limited edition precious metal jewelry. My designs are predominately Nordic-inspired, influenced by my studies in cultural anthropology and Norwegian history and mythology. I hand fabricate metals using sawing, piercing, forging, soldering, etching and by creating mixed metals in dimensional forms. I also create jewelry using recycled metals in metal clay, a sustainable, environmentally friendly metals resource. I sell my work through galleries, juried arts festivals and events, and through wholesale and retail outlets. I teach metals courses through my studio, at the Multnomah Arts Center, the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, and as a guest instructor at high schools, community colleges and private schools. I teach metal design and fabrication, filigree and granulation, hollowform and foldforming techniques, enameling, soldering, etching, cold connections, chainmaking, metal clay construction, and mixed media design. I am a certified metal clay instructor through Art Clay World, USA, achieving Senior Instructor status in 2007. I was honored to receive a Merit Award for my jewelry at the prestigious Norsk Hostfest in 2014. I was awarded Best in Show at the Corvallis Fall Festival in 2007.
Certified Senior Instructor, Art Clay World, USA. Certified to teach all levels of metal clay instruction, and to certify new instructors to teach curriculum regarding metal clay and associated metalsmithing.

B.S.Management/HR, double major in Anthropology. Georgia Sherman award for HR Excellence. Best in Show award 2007, Corvallis Fall Arts Festival. Merit Award, Norsk Hostfest, N. Dakota 2014.
