I am a high school science teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love teaching and helping others to understand new concepts. I sought an artistic outlet my entire life. I would have pursued a degree in art if it was not for a guidance counselor who advised me to redirect myself to ensure empolyment opportunities. I have a bachelors and masters degree in geoscience education. I spend much of my life outdoors and love to hike and collect rocks. My initial interest in learning to work with metal clay was for the opportunity to create art that could incorporate my many rock and mineral collections in keepsakes.

I believe each and every person can learn and I hope to bring my love of creating to those with or without a background in art and jewelry making. I often use my creativity as a stress release and believe others do too. I will use my nearly twenty years of being an educator to ensure I guide others to the success they desire in creating art while enjoying the experience. I believe jewelry can be much more than something attractive to look at. To me, jewelry often has meaning, sparks emotions and tells a story. I look forward to helping others create jewelry that preserves their special memoires and stories.
