I am originally from Long Island, New York. I’m the middle child of four. Being the third child, I wanted to be the center of attention. I learned that art was the way to achieve that. I loved recycling things, and turning old cookie tins into swimming pools for dolls. I also took slate pieces from the garden and painted welcome signs on them. The neighbors loved buying those. I never saw things as having just one purpose. My family moved to Georgia in 2010. I took my first metal clay class in 2015 and fell in love with it. Metal clay gives me the opportunity to be creative in a way that uses all of my passion. I love coming up with new ideas for textures and figuring out ways to manipulate the clay. I have always been a teacher in some way, so now I would love to teach my love of art and clay to others. |
