(Item # E-176) Torching Basket for Enameling

This stainless steel torch-firing basket is the perfect answer for enameling and counter-enameling, especially for dimensional or oddly-shaped items. Unlike a trivet – which holds a piece up above a mesh screen, making it harder to reach with the torch flame – this torching basket suspends a piece below a firing tripod, keeping it easily accessible for a torch flame of any size. The tapered basket fits with virtually any torch tripod setup, though it is particularly well-suited to our 9” Tripod (Item E-223), where there is plenty of space for the suspended piece and a small torch to fit beneath the basket. Made of high-quality stainless steel, the torching basket is long-lasting and durable, and will easily tolerate the temperatures needed for torch-firing metal clays and enamels without any major degradation.
